If they guess right then the magicians humbly acknowledge that they are right and if Penn and Teller can’t figure out how the trick is performed they win a trip to Las Vegas and their secret is safe. In the show, magicians perform a magic trick and Penn and Teller, experienced illusionists themselves, try to guess how the trick is performed.
